The Ghanaian international Gideon Mensah is loaned to Bordeaux by RB Salzburg. He is out of two other loans in Zulte Waregem (Belgium) and Vitória Guimarães (Portugal) during which he played 23 matches each time.

Gideon Mensah is trained at WAFA (in) in Ghana. He started with this club, before joining Europe and Austria in 2016, by joining FC Liefering, partner club of Red Bull Salzburg.
He made his professional debut with Liefering, playing his first game on July 29, 2016, in an Austrian second division game against SC Wiener Neustadt. He is titularized and delivers a decisive pass for Mergim Berisha.
Gideon Mensah honoured his first selection with Ghana’s national team on November 14, 2019, against South Africa. He is the starting point in this match won by Ghana on the score of two goals to zero.
