The trial of the Grand-Bassam terrorist attack begins on 30 November 2022 at the Court of First Instance in Abidjan
The Prosecutor of the Republic informs the national and international opinion that the case relating to the terrorist attack in Grand-Bassam has been placed on the list of the Criminal Court for hearing scheduled for 30 November 2022, In the main room of the Court of First Instance of Abidjan learned Abidjan.net from official sources on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
On Sunday, 13 March 2016, three armed men went to the beach of Grand-Bassam and opened fire on several people there. At the sad toll of this attack, there were nineteen (19) deaths including nine (09) Ivorians, four (04) French, one (01) Lebanese, one (01) German, one (01) Macedonian, one (01) Malian, one (01) Nigerian and one (01) unidentified person, as well as thirty-three (33) wounded.
The judicial proceedings opened following this attack, resulted in the referral of eighteen (18) accused to the Criminal Court for the facts of terrorist acts, murder, attempted murder, possession of criminals, illegal possession of firearms and munitions of war and complicity in such acts.
