The football world is in mourning. The Nigerian Football Federation announced on October 2, 2019 the death of Isaac Promise in the gym of his apartment following a heart attack.
Isaac Promise was captain of the Super Eagles. He was African champion with the U-20 of Nigeria in 2005 and he won the silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. He spent most of his career in the Turkish league.
He has been selected 3 times in the national team of Nigeria and scored 1 goal. Before his death, he played with the American club Austin Bold FC.
