This Sunday, August 15, 2021, the RBS CREW group presented its work to the public. It is a fresco by Professor Cheikh Anta Diop located at the University of Dakar which bears the name of the Pharaoh. A way to pay a vibrant tribute to the Senegalese scientist Sheikh Anta Diop.
The RBS CREW unveiled its legendary fresco by Cheikh Anta Diop this Sunday, August 15 after a hard work of ten days. These painters took this opportunity to celebrate one of the greatest scholars in African history. It is a question, among other things, of restoring man but also and above all, of making known his immense scientific work for the black world. This further proves the capital place of art in the awakening of consciences among African populations.
Professor Cheikh Anta Diop is one of the pride of Senegal, Africa and the Black World. Man is multidimensional, the encyclopedic work and its universal field of investigation. All his life, he worked for the scientific reconstruction of the past of Black Africa, the restoration of his historical consciousness, denouncing the modern falsification of history.
In advocating the African rebirth, he has always urged the young people of the continent to do everything to overcome the obstacles that prevent the development of Africa, which threatens its security and its survival, hampers its development and its influence throughout the world. In his fight, the professor urges African youth to “arm themselves with science to the teeth”. He was thus an eminent example for the African youth in need of reference.
The RBS CREW is created on Wednesday 30 May 2012 in Dakar. It is, as its name suggests, a collective of graffiti artists mostly from Senegal. Born of a common desire to innovate in order to raise the art of graffiti to the highest level through strong messages in philosophy and benevolence. RBS CREW currently consists of 16 members:

In its etymology, RBS CREW embraces both a diversity of definitions but always stuck to the contexts on which it unfolds. Originally RBS was defined as: RADIKL BOMB SHOT. Today, it is their turn to talk about Professor Cheikh Anta Diop and bring his memory to life.
