SENEGAL: Assane Diouf, public insult number 1 is free

In prison since June 2020, Assane Diouf, President Macky Sall’s number one public insult, was released on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Prosecuted for contempt of office and rebellion, his request for provisional release had been rejected several times by the Indictment Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Dakar.
