President Macky Sall launched a challenge to all Senegalese and particularly to the opposition; he called for a public debate on the floods. As a reminder, the management of the floods has been criticized by the opposition but also by civil society which has been mainly affected once again in this year 2020. The opponent Ousmane Sonko has accepted the challenge and hopes that he will not go go back. He explains his position on this ferret debate:

Ousmane Sonko : President Macky Sall launched a challenge to all Senegalese and particularly to the opposition that we are. He finally said he was ready to discuss, with whoever wished, the issue of flooding and sanitation. Such an exercise would be a big breath of fresh air for our democracy and for transparency.

We accept his generous offer and salute this sudden concern for transparency by taking up his challenge. For the honor of the “descendants of the line of warriors” of which he claims to be, he could not slacken off as recently observed on the same question …

On another register, many Senegalese begged me not to respond to the childishness of Mansour Faye, so obvious is the lie. Mansour Faye lied, coldly. This man, in addition to being one of the main actors in the dark and vicious management of his brother-in-law, is the biggest liar Senegal has ever seen born. In front of him, Pinocchio would be a dwarf, except that instead of the latter’s nose, we have the rivers of sweat of Mansour Faye.

Everyone knows that this incompetent man, seeks to get out of the uncomfortable posture in which his greed has plunged him by lighting a counter fire. I’m not going to help him. For us, the only debate from which the Senegalese must not be diverted is that of the accountability by all the predators of the Republic who believe themselves to be immune because of their proximity to the President of the Republic.

The burden of proof lies with the prosecution. Mansour Faye cannot be satisfied with a simple insinuation to try in vain to cast doubt in the minds of Senegalese. Our national Pinocchio, out of minimum respect, must tell the Senegalese:

  • In which year, month and place was held his alleged hearing to request a meeting or intervention with his brother-in-law as President.
  • What is the name of the witness (s) for such a hearing?
  • And what was the purpose?
I appeal to the sagacity of journalists, required to provide fair, true and complete information, in order imperatively to extract precise answers to these questions, without ignoring the questions from which they are trying to extricate themselves. questions from Senegalese about the management of the hundreds of billions swallowed up in sanitation while he was its minister, and the 1 trillion of the plan to fight COVID.
