Recall that the Prosecutor obtained from the Dean of Judges, the referral of the case between Ousmane Sonko and Adji Sarr before the Criminal Chamber of Dakar. In the email, Justice Oumar Maham Diallo recalls that the leader of Pastef Ousmane Sonko is charged with “rape and threat of death (facts foreseen and punished by Articles 320, 320 bis and in accordance with the Penal Code of Law 2020-05 of 19 January 2020).
A notice of final settlement order was sent to counsel for the parties.
At this time no date has been provided for this trial.
As a reminder, this case, which began in March 2021, was the cause of bloody riots that cost the lives of 14 young people, as well as positions for officers of the gendarmerie and other political and public service figures. It was full of twists and turns and collateral damage.
