Months after making a musical collaboration with African music legend Koffi Olomidé in the hit song «Waah», Diamond Platnumz is now looking to do another featuring with a RnB superstar. Chris Brown, whose real name is Christopher Maurice Brown, singer, dancer-choreographer, songwriter-performer, actor and American director.
Speaking to the Tanzanian online media PTV TZ, the driver of Diamond Platnumz revealed that Bongo’s star would travel to the United States to work on a musical project with Chris Brown. Diamond, yesterday I dropped him off at the airport, he went to South Africa. From South Africa, he will travel to the United States for a collaboration with Chris Brown,” said the driver.
Diamond’s driver also indicated that the project would take place once his boss has finished working on his new music album. He thus asked God to guide the king of Tanzanian bongo flava, who plans to work with other international artists.
This musical collaboration with Chris Brown, would be a big sensation for Diamond Platnumz, since the American artist made only a few songs with his African counterparts. In Africa, Chris Brown worked only with Afrobeat singer David Adedeji Adeleke aka «Davido». This proves the level reached by Diamond Platnumz in his musical career.
Although this is the second time Chris Brown has worked on a project with an African artist, it is not the first time Diamond Platnumz has collaborated with an American. Three years ago, he worked with Rick Ross on his song, “Waka.” He has also worked with Neyo and Omarion in their songs, “Marry You” and “African Beauty” respectively.
