Tunisia has 200,000 cases of people infected with the coronavirus, according to former health minister Samira Merai. These claims were made on Thursday, October 15, 2020 on the Ness Nessma set on Nessma TV.

She also said that testing for novel coronavirus in the country is only for people with symptoms.

According to her, global scientific studies have shown that only 15% of people infected with the new virus are symptomatic. This leads him to point out that the figures announced would therefore be far from reality.

The country has recorded 34 thousand cases of Covid-19 among people who have done the screening tests, which would represent 15% of the actual number of infected, mathematically still according to her the actual figure of contaminations is therefore 200 thousand.
