In Paris for a few weeks for the preparation of his new album, the interplanetary artist from Congo Kinshasa, Koffi Olomidé, 64, was on TV5 monde. The «Grand Mopao» said that his album «Légende», the 32nd of his musical career, will have about forty titles. Announcing a concert, the musician asked music lovers to get vaccinated against Coronavirus, to be able to attend.

He has had 43 years of career and continues to renew his musical style. Koffi Olomidé releases a surprising album in which he is accompanied by the greatest artists of the new generation. Interviewed by the TV5 world journalist, Koffi Olomidé confirmed that «Légende» will be a double album that will be released in two phases. “There are about 40 titles today. It will come out in two stages,” he said.

The king of Congolese rumba confirmed that his album will have several styles of music: Rumba, R&B, Afro beat…. The «Grand Mopao» will release an album with many titles, including the song «Mon amour» with the Cameroonian Charlotte Dipanda, which has truly marked the minds of fans and which continues to record many views on platforms like YouTube (2,616,346 views).

Koffi Olomidé also revealed that for the past three years he has been working on this “Legend” album in which he collaborated with several Congolese and African artists, including Cameroonian Charlotte Dipanda, Nigerian Davido, Tiwa Savage… He also called on African music lovers to get vaccinated against the Coronavirus, in order to attend his giant concert, initially scheduled for February 13, 2021, but which is postponed to Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Paris La Défense Arénas.
