Guinean President Alpha Condé has extended the state of emergency in the country. A state of emergency that has been established since March 2020 to fight against the spread of the coronavirus.

It is through an ordinance read on national television that we learn that the state of emergency has been extended for a period of one month from September 16, 2020 throughout the territory.

It should be recalled that the guineas must elect their new president within a month during crutial presidential elections because outgoing president Alpha Condé is a candidate for his own succession, he wishes to run for a controversial third term.
