A few days after the riots in early March 2021 which shook Senegal, President Macky Sall not only made proposals for a youth employment project with a financial envelope of CFAF 50 billion injected into the “Emergency Fund” and 49 billion for the creation of ten thousand jobs. The Senegalese Head of State is part of his desire to create a wind of calm. Today he is attacking company cars, which some on the opposition side deem to be budget-hungry.

The President of the Republic, Macky Sall, has just joined the deed to the word on the abolition of official and service vehicles. Indeed, a decree was issued in this direction from March 1, 2021. Thus, the CEOs of public companies, SGs, PCAs, chamber presidents, as well as certain categories of civil servants will receive compensation, ranging from 700,000 at 150,000 FCfa depending on the category and the function.

The general secretaries of departments, communes, head of department, as well as municipal secretaries are concerned by this decree. This decision comes after the suspension of the purchase of vehicles.
