A real twist in the case of the escape of Baye Modou Fall, alias Boy Djinné! One of his accomplices, Abdou Faye, ended his life on the night of Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Dakar central police station where he was in pre-trial detention with two other accomplices named Dame Sy and Cheikh Ndiaye. The four men were arrested on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Missirah, in the Tambacounda region, more than 400km from the Senegalese capital.

Boy Djinné’s 12th escape caused collateral damage. One of his accomplices, Abdou Faye, hanged himself in the cell where he was in custody at the Dakar Central Police Station on the night of Tuesday, June 8, 2021. The reasons for such an act are not known but the conditions of detention in police stations is the big question. How did Dame Faye get the chance to kill herself? Senegalese human rights defender Seydi Gassama finds the news of the death by hanging of one of Baye Modou Fall’s accomplices alias Boy Djinné curious. He calls for an investigation to enlighten the Senegalese.
