TANZANIA: «Leo Leo» Nandy’s new single featuring with Koffi Olomidé

The young Tanzanian singer, Faustina Charles Mfinanga called «Nandy», released on February 11, her last single entitled «Leo Leo» featuring with the legend of Congolese music, Koffi Olomidé.

Nandy, 28, has just released “Leo Leo” with Congolese singer Koffi Olomidé. The singer-songwriter has been in great demand lately. In fact, he recently collaborated with Tanzanian bongo flava king Diamond Platnumz on his new title «Waah» which is already a hit on the various digital platforms.

Nandy is a Tanzanian artist. She was selected to represent Coke Studio Africa 2017, where she did a remarkable performance with Ethiopian Betty G. An opportunity for her to rub shoulders with top artists.

Faustina Charles Mfinanga released her first successful single One Day in 2017. It was the latter who launched the young woman’s career. She was nominated the same year for the All Africa Music Awards. In 2018, she released her album «La princesse africaine».

In November, Nandy was nominated and voted Best Woman in the East Africa category at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMMA). This was the first grand prize for this upcoming artist.

This success opened the door to national recognition and support for companies by signing for TradeKings products, ENLAIR POPS and also signing as ambassador alongside Aslay for the national hygiene and sanitation campaign (USICHUKULIE POA, NYUMBA NI CHOO).

His hit song Kivuruge was number one on Clouds FM four weeks in a row. She hopes to get the recognition that all artists strive to have: «JIWE LA MWEZI» which is awarded for songs that have exceeded a million viewers on YOU TUBE but have also held the charts the longest.

Nandy is also a committed artist who fights for the well-being and access of people to drinking water. She is currently Tanzania’s Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programme. The programme aims to provide disadvantaged populations with safe drinking water and basic toilets.
