The Gambian President Adama Barrow left Dakar, the Senegalese capital on Thursday. This is the end of his stay outside the country. The Gambians have been waiting for him for two weeks.

Outgoing President Yaya Jammeh was forced into exile in Equatorial Guinea. He had previously  acknowledged the victory of his opponent before rejecting the results of the December 1 elections. Clinging to power, he was forced by ECOWAS to give way to his successor.

The arrival of President Adama Barrow is highly anticipated by the Gambian population.
